Hände weg von Syrien – (Hands off Syria Coalition) — Eine dringende Botschaft für den Frieden angesichts der Gefahr eines größeren Krieges.
Am 13. Oktober veröffentlichten 158 Organisationen aus zahlreichen Ländern und mehrere hundert Einzelpersonen auf englisch den Aufruf »USA – Hände weg von Syrien«. (Hands off Syria Coalition) Er liegt seit dem 17. Oktober auf deutsch vor.

Wir erheben unsere Stimmen gegen die Gewalt des Krieges und den enormen Druck von Kriegspropaganda, Lügen und einer politischen Agenda, die verwendet werden, um diesen Krieg und jeden der vergangenen Kriege der USA zu rechtfertigen.
Wir, die unterzeichneten Organisationen und Einzelpersonen, unterstützen die folgenden „Punkte der Einheit“ und werden als Ad-hoc-Koalition zusammenarbeiten, um zu helfen, die Regimewechsel-Intervention durch die USA, die NATO und ihre regionalen Verbündeten und die Tötung unschuldiger Menschen in Syrien zu beenden.
- Die Fortsetzung des Krieges in Syrien ist das Ergebnis einer von den USA, der NATO, ihren regionalen Verbündeten und reaktionären Kräften durchgeführten Intervention seitens der USA, deren Ziel der Regimewechsel in Syrien ist.
- Diese Politik des Regimewechsels in Syrien ist illegal und geschieht in klarer Verletzung der Charta der Vereinten Nationen, des Buchstabens und des Geistes des Völkerrechts und der Allgemeinen Erklärung der Menschenrechte.
- Diese Politik des erzwungenen Regimewechsels bedroht die Sicherheit der Region und der Welt und erhöht die Gefahr einer direkten Konfrontation zwischen den Vereinigten Staaten und Russland mit dem Potenzial einer nuklearen Katastrophe für die ganze Welt.
- Der Krieg, die US-Sanktionen und die EU-Sanktionen haben jeden Sektor der syrischen Wirtschaft destabilisiert und haben ein einst autarkes Land in eine hilfsabhängige Nation verwandelt. Die Hälfte der syrischen Bevölkerung ist jetzt vertrieben. Ein UN-Bericht der ESCWA weist darauf hin, dass diese Sanktionen gegen Syrien die Hilfeleistung während einer der größten humanitären Notsituationen seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg lähmen. Ein Drittel der syrischen Flüchtlinge in Jordanien, dem Libanon und in der Türkei wurden von US-Kürzungen an UNICEF hart getroffen. Dies zwingt verzweifelte Flüchtlinge dazu, sich auf dem Weg nach Europa zu machen.
- Keine ausländische Organisation, sei es eine ausländische Regierung oder eine bewaffnete Gruppe, hat das Recht, die Grundrechte des syrischen Volkes nach Unabhängigkeit, nationaler Souveränität und Selbstbestimmung zu verletzen. Dazu gehört das Recht der syrischen Regierung, militärische Unterstützung aus anderen Ländern anzufordern und zu akzeptieren, wie dies auch von der US-Regierung zugegeben worden ist.
- Nur die Syrer haben das unveräußerliche Recht, ihre politischen Vertreter zu wählen und den Charakter ihrer Regierung zu bestimmen, und zwar frei von ausländischen Interventionen. Dieses Recht kann unter den Bedingungen der U.S.-orchestrierten ausländischen Intervention gegen das syrische Volk nicht selbstbestimmt ausgeübt werden.
- Unsere Opposition gilt dem erzwungenen Regimewechsel in Syrien durch von den USA unterstützte ausländische Mächte und ihre Söldner. Es ist nicht unsere Aufgabe, Präsident Assad oder die syrische Regierung zu unterstützen oder sich ihr zu widersetzen. Nur das syrische Volk hat das Recht über die Legitimität seiner Regierung zu entscheiden.
- Die dringendste Frage ist derzeit der Frieden und die Beendigung der Gewalt durch ausländische Interventionen, die zum Tod von Hunderttausenden und der Vertreibung von Millionen von Syrern geführt hat und sowohl im Land selbst als auch als Flüchtlingkrise im Ausland.
Basierend auf diesen Punkten der Einheit vereinbaren wir als Einzelpersonen und Organisationen – in einer Ad-hoc-Koalition – folgende Forderungen und verpflichten uns, gemeinsam daran mitzuwirken:
- Ein sofortiges Ende der U.S.-Politik des erzwungenen Regimewechsels in Syrien und die volle Anerkennung und Einhaltung der Grundsätze des Völkerrechts und der U.N.-Charta durch die USA, die NATO und ihre Verbündeten, einschließlich der Achtung für die Unabhängigkeit und die territoriale Integrität Syriens.
- Ein sofortiges Ende aller ausländischen Aggressionen gegen Syrien und ernsthafte Bemühungen um eine politische Lösung des Krieges.
- Ein sofortiges Ende aller militärischen, finanziellen, logistischen und nachrichtendienstlichen Unterstützung durch die USA, die NATO und ihre regionalen Verbündeten für die ausländischen Söldner und Extremisten im Nahen Osten.
- Ein sofortiges Ende der Wirtschaftssanktionen gegen Syrien. Massive internationale Hilfe für Vertriebene in Syrien und syrische Flüchtlinge im Ausland.
Nur in einem friedlichen und unabhängigen Syrien, das frei von ausländischer Aggressionen ist, können die Syrer ihre Souveränitätsrechte frei ausüben, ihren freien Willen ausdrücken und freie Entscheidungen über ihre Regierung und die Führung ihres Landes treffen.
Wir fordern alle Unterstützer des Friedens und des Rechts auf Selbstbestimmung der Völker auf der ganzen Welt auf, sich uns in Zusammenarbeit anzuschließen, um diese humanitären Forderungen zu erfüllen.
Wir benötigen Arbeitsplätze, Gesundheitswesen, Bildung und ein Ende der rassistischen Gewalt der Polizei in den USA, und keine US-Kriege im Ausland!
